Co-founder of Warrior Security in 2006, Tony has over 15 years’ experience in Commercial Security throughout East and Central Africa.
He has directed operations encompassing over 5000 people and produced training programmes, procedures and systems for large and small clients including the US State Department, UN organisations, NGOs, Corporate businesses and individuals. Tony is an East African Citizen, who retired from the British Army in 1999 with the rank of Major. He has led soldiers in Northern Ireland, Zaire, Bosnia and Kenya. He has also spent two years training cadets at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst.
He has an MA in Military Studies from Cranfield University and was awarded the Sword of Honour at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1980.
Co-founder of Warrior Security in 2006 Ashton is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Ashton trained as a computer programmer prior to obtaining a BSc(Hons) in Computation from the University of Manchester.
After graduation Ashton qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in London prior to joining CDC Group plc where he undertook several investment roles including 5 years managing their distressed investment portfolio in East and West Africa. Ashton has a broad experience of different industry sectors and in developing corporate growth strategies
Jonathan joined Warrior in 2006 initially as a Director in Tanzania and the General Manager for Arusha. In Nov 2009, he took over as Country Manager of Warrior’s operations in Southern Sudan, quickly achieving profitability and doubling the growth after 12 months.
Jonathan left the British Army after serving 5 years reaching the rank of Captain. His experience of operations in Afghanistan and Northern Ireland brings considerable benefit of operating in difficult and often dangerous environments. Jonathan is a fully trained Close Protection Officer. He has considerable experience of commercial security and specifically mine security including the movement of highly valuable bullion.
Over the course of 4 years, Jonathan developed the Warrior operation in South Sudan into one of the leading players in the region, securing all the major UN contracts including UNMISS (United Nations Mission in South Sudan) deploying in all 10 states, and making Warrior the undisputed market
leader.Jonathan Simpson brings his formidable experience and talents to the group role as COO.
He has an LLB (Hons) degree in Law from Liverpool John Moore University.
John served with the British Army after which he spent 2 years training soldiers in Central America. He later settled into a manufacturing career in South Africa, Australia and latterly the UK as managing director of a national manufacturer and installer of physical security products. After serving as Warrior’s operations manager in South Sudan in 2011, John has undertaken the introduction and implementation of ISO 9001 quality assurance management systems throughout the group. In September 2016 John Davies was elected to the board of the International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA) representing the security industry pillar, and sits on the certification committee.
